Tbilisi Honey Festival Vibes
The Tbilisi Honey Festival, organized by the Georgian Beekeepers Union (GBU), has become a cherished tradition of the autumn festive season in Georgia’s capital. Supported by Tbilisi City Hall and Mtatsminda Park, this annual event brought together 25 honey producers from across the country, all members of the GBU. Over two days, these companies showcased a variety of unique honey products. This year, the festival's highlights were the Georgian companies recognized at the prestigious London Honey Awards 2024 . "We sold almost all of our products on the first day, especially those honored in London," they reported.
The Tbilisi Honey Festival celebrated not only honey but also a wide range of honey-related products, including honey-based spirits, cosmetics, beeswax, propolis, royal jelly, and bee pollen. These offerings captured the attention of festival attendees, who had the chance to learn about each product directly from the producers during on-stage presentations. Other festival attractions included popular honey tasting booths, displays of climate-smart hives, and a vibrant children's entertainment program.
